My life experience with depression

I was a woman in my mid-forties, and I had been suffering from depression for quite a while. It began when my marriage ended suddenly and I found myself alone. Everything that had given me purpose in life seemed to vanish overnight. I felt like a shell of who I used to be, unable to move forward or find joy in anything anymore. 

I became increasingly isolated and started avoiding friends and family as much as possible because it was hard for me to show them the sadness that swallowed me up so completely. All I wanted was the pain to go away, but no matter how hard I tried it wouldn’t leave me. 

Eventually, with help from family and professionals alike, things started changing for the better. With their support and understanding, along with medication prescribed by my doctor, I slowly began feeling more alive again; little by little joy crept back into my life once more as did hope for a brighter future ahead of me.  

Finally after months of hard work on myself, day by day getting stronger both mentally and emotionally; I realized one day that I don't feel all those negative feelings anymore! It felt like such an accomplishment - something that would have seemed impossible before - but here I was surviving depression! That thought filled me with so much pride that tears of joy rolled down my cheeks! 

That moment will never leave my mind; it reminded me just how far I had come from being stuck in this cycle of darkness & despair all those months ago to now finally finding happiness within myself again . It also made me realize how incredibly strong we women can be when we are determined enough , which gave even more determination inside of me . 

No matter what you may face in life , always remember there is always hope ! Never give up on yourself , for you are worth fighting for !
